Operational since March 19, 2011, the hospital is owned and operated by Health Global International Inc. It was founded by a team of doctors who also previously founded other hospitals like Marikina Valley, and later founded Pacific Global and San Mateo Medical Center. Those founding doctors sold their shares, and the hospital is now owned almost entirely by Metro Pacific Health. Metro Pacific Health holds many of the leading hospitals in the Philippines, including Makati Medical Center and Asian Hospital Medical Center.
Commonwealth Hospital and Medical Center is the 19th hospital out of 24 hospitals that are part of the Metro Pacific Health Group. The current facilities of the hospital include two seven-story buildings, which hold 148 beds and clinic space for approximately 200 doctors. It is located on Regalado Highway, Novaliches, Quezon City, right beside SM Fairview.
